Subs and tests
By Rm

Clip to ScrapBook
Last year I was out and knew I was going to have our "regular" sub so I had her give my students the English test. The next day when I came back three of my students asked to speak to me privately. They told me that the
sub gave two of my students help on the test. She told them which questions they had answered incorrectly and gave them time to change their answers. I spoke to her about it the next day and she told me she thought that the directions on the test were too hard for third grade and so she wanted to help them. I explained to her that reading and following the directions are part of taking
the test. SHe told me she didn't realize she wasn't suppose to help them. The moral of the story is never allow someone else to give a test if there is the remotest chance they won't take it as seriously as you do.
