Finding an advocate
By Michelle

Clip to ScrapBook
Here are a couple of ideas for finding an advocate:

1. Contact local support groups for mental illness or disabilites

2. Contact your state department of education -- ask to speak to someone in the special education department

3. Contact your local Office of Civil Rights

4. Contact an attorney who deals with ADA cases

You should be able to find most of this in the phone book. You might also try a web search for "Americans with Disabilities Act enforment"
