check books etc
By margie

Clip to ScrapBook
One great resource I found is our local credit union will not only provide us with checks, check registers, and covers, but come and teach a lesson on writing checks, budgeting etc.

I found one to come to our school by
search bank and credit union websites. We live in a fairly rural area with no bank or credit union right in town, but they came out any way.

I tie the checking account into a reward system using a simple time card that I made up.

I gathered some donations by writing to big companies. They could pay for special activities such as watching a movie. Also auctions are a great way for

them to spend a large amount of check book money for little output. Students have paid 20-30 dollars for a bag of chips.

Presto Chango is a good board game for reinforcing money skills.

Best of Luck,
margie
