scheduling

Clip to ScrapBook
have you tried getting the kids to go out at different times each day? I had reading recovery in my classroom last year, and it had to be at the same time each day, so I just alternated my schedule so that the kids going out were not missing the same subjects each day. I also made sure it was a long lesson they were missing, so that they would get either the start or the end of it. while this is not ideal it worked for me, as these kids really needed the reading work, and so i made the decision that their reading had to come first. Unfortunately if they need to be taken out of class they will always miss something, but if they are getting behind in other areas then perhaps some other options need to be looked at with the parents/principal
