Yes, I can relate By Fanny Ardant fan

Administrators are so afraid of parents/community. Perhaps "paranoid" is an even better word. They're terrified of complaints. There is no reason in the world you should be physically abused by a student, tenured or not. | My hope is that you belong to a teacher's union and will be able to speak to a representative about your situation. Your principal's lack of discipline will backfire. I've seen it. The kids will know they can get away with anything and will eventually begin to run the school. The principal will lose all control and eventually be replaced. As a teacher, you have to be a caring but | | firm disciplinarian. What you are putting up with is not only nonsense, but a very poor administration. I don't care if the kid was raised by wolves, he has no right to abuse anyone. Most families are "dysfunctional." That's the norm. It used to be mom, dad, and all of their children with the same last name. Now we have mother's with 3rd husbands and kids everywhere - or boyfriends. It's disgusting. No values, morals, or pride in America anymore - and it shows. Never think "less" of yourself because you do not have tenure. It's very difficult to fire a teacher, unless you kill (or kick) a student ;-) I would suggest a polite meeting with this so-called overpaid administrator. Stay on his/her good side because the majority really are idiots who have no clue to life and can make our lives miserable. Enlighten him/her. One day this kid is going to kick the wrong person. I'd like to see what your principal would do if he/she were kicked by this little punk. Good luck!
