Rebuttal to Ann's position
By Kim

Clip to ScrapBook
Ann: I will try to say this as gently as possible. You are brand new to the profession. You need to have some years under your belt before you can jump to conclusions about teachers who are against inclusion. #1) general teachers getting a regular credential get little or no training in various fields of emotional problems. #2) most schools do not place one on one aides to help severely affected students because of money #3) the majority of teachers I know feel fine having a learning disabled student in the class, provided he/she doesn't have a specific emotional disability that requires a LOT of attention that teachers just don't have.
