Quiet Please By FWTeacher

After explaining, you could make small signs for each table that let them know where they stand in terms of noise. Maybe have green for just right, keep up the good work. Yellow for warning, lower voices and/or get back| on task. Red for stop all talking and activity immediately. On red you could then have them work independently or have a time out for a set period until they were under control. This way you could circulate and let students know where they stand without using your own voice. Depending on their age, you might even assign the task as a job after they understand what justifies each color. | | I like individual table signs because all groups do not behave the same. You may even find a way to reward tables that stay on green for a set time. Good luck. It sounds like you are on the right track.
