Sorry, pcm. I agree with Mary. It's up to you, Tennessee Teacher, to (diplomatically, of course!) let the others know what is what with the classroom. No way can you expect the kids to do as you say if you have the other two contradicting you all the time! Do be polite but firm - it's in the best interest of the kids to have everyone working with the same set of rules. Maybe if the two continue to talk and disrupt your lessons, you can find something for them to do elsewhere???? Don't ask, tell. You sound as if you really want to get to that elusive 10-on-a-scale-of-10 with your kids, so good luck to you.
