Be CAREFUL
By Krissy

Clip to ScrapBook
This happened in my classroom one year. You can never be too careful. Most sugar based candy (Skittles, Starburst, lollipops, etc.) should be fine. Make sure all parents are aware of this allergy and how serious it is. If a child does bring in a snack that contain peanut or peanut oil, do not let that child eat in the classroom. I would have that child take a friend in the hallway for company and allow him/her to eat the snack quickly. Most parents aren't bothered by the inconvenience. Make sure children are aware to read labels as well.
