no humidity here!

Sorry to rain on everyone's parade (couldn't resist a bad pun there), but here in Colorado, the humidity is low, and everything stays up on our walls, which are also painted cinderblock. Heck, you can hang your laundry on the line if you want, and it will be dry in half an hour! I spent a summer in Atlanta once though, and that convinced me that humidity is not my friend. So--is there some way to reduce the humidity in the room? Maybe that's a dumb question, having little experience in my life with high humidity, but could that be done?
