Clip to ScrapBook
I have to agreed entirely - the only thing that comes across in these severe situations are no fun, no reward, and lots of hard work. Don't let it be boot camp for you, make it boot camp for them because they need it a LOT more than you do. I'm trying to be especially diligent in this, as I teach music, which is assumed to be 'fun and games'. Once these kids realize that class can be as BORING as you want it to be, then maybe they'll shape up in order to have it be a little more interesting.
