Take a Deep Breath!!!

First of all, being 23 doesn't mean you're too young to be a teacher and the first step is to stop believing you are too young. Being a good teacher who can control her classroom takes a long time and you won't learn it all in student teaching. The time you will learn is when you are on your own in your first classroom. Believe me, it can be scary but it is worth it in the end.
Also, if you are to be certified in elementary, you need to be able teach all elementary grades not just K-2. I think a better challenge for you would be to student teach in a 3-6 class, you will definitely learn more. GOOD LUCK!!!
