classroom management WOES

I FEEL YOUR PAIN! This is my first year in 1st grade--I'm going to visit a friend who teaches the same grade in a public school(I teach in a charter school). Today was the end of the honeymoon...in many ways-chatting,not listening,making noises,etc,etc--must stop! The lessons right now seem too short because "it's review"..yet...the books go into long detail...antway--as several have told me--set your rules,procedures and model,document..that you rehetse it several times..then a parent can't say--I didn't know,etc...
