hallway display
By Lydia

Clip to ScrapBook
Before you put anything in the hallway you might want to aks the other teachers in your grade what they do. If your principle is picky, she might not want imperfect works hanging in the hallway. My collegue at a nearby school had a principle take an imperfect work down and explain to her how to teach spelling.
Or what I did last year was post two copies of their work. They had a rough draft underneath their final published piece (which I helped on spelling- not every word, but ones they coudn't figure out). This way the parents had a chance to see the writing process.
I suppose it depends on what your purpose for displaying their work. To impress parents? To make the kids proud of their work? Or to teach them spelling?
