I am sure that it was just an initial shock and now that you have had time to digest this you should be fine. You said that it ended mutually and it wasn't very long so it should not even be an issue, unless the mom gets upset when she (if she) finds out. But if they have a happy marriage and are secure in their lives it won't even matter. I personally would find it fun to teach the child of an ex-boyfriend....at least you know some of the parents history and since there were no hard feelings with your breakup, you could really work together over the next 2 years to give the child a great learning environment.
