I hope that you enjoy your first year of teaching :-)
At the beginning of the year, I start with "Spider School" and "My Teacher Sleeps at School", followed by all of the "Black Lagoon" books--the stories address the students' concerns about the first day of school (and new teachers) in a silly way that the children really enjoy.
