Even more outrageous...

not only does it affect your individual retirement income, but also any Social Security income you may be entitled to from a spouse who qualifies. This is a very real problem for a significant group of the teaching population. BTW, Massachusetts is another state where this outrage is being perpetrated. We need to be VERY proactive in getting our legislators to right this injustice.
