Sitton
By Elaine

Clip to ScrapBook
Monique,

I did Sitton before the "new" manual came out. It was a lot of work, but since I agreed with her philosophy, I felt it was worth the work. Then, I read that her new manual made everything a lot easier to implement,
so I got it. Well, I'll have to agree with you that is rather confusing. That's because she offers soooooooo many choices.

Here's what I think would work. Choose a couple of the activities to do from each section. I don't have the book in front of me, so I can't remember what each section is called. The first one starts with previewing the words. The second section has lots

of phonics tie-ins, and then their are choices for assessment. None of the assessment choices are the familiar Friday test. Again, I'd say, choose a couple of activities to do from each section. It's just too bad we get these wonderful programs without the benefit of training.
Good luck,
Elaine
