Why did you allow this child to be sent to the office to get paddled? Is it your decision or the principal? Is there guidelines to follow and the end result is that he gets a paddling for misbehavior? Why not keep him in the class and try other methods to work with his behavior issues. I am sure this is not an easy situation, but I don't understand why you would subject one of your students to this type of punishment. It seems cruel and heartless to me. Obviously isn't isn't working- so what is the purpose of it? Just to humilate him?
