Congrats on wanting to teach. I am 51 and returning to teaching after 15 years away. Like Mara mentioned, go to the Michigan State Education Department and check with THEM. They will be able to tell you exactly what you will need to do. You will probably need some Education courses for sure plus be introduced to student teaching. Good luck; good teachers are in the minority!
