Clip to ScrapBook
As a new teacher this year, I couldn't be more happy to have a job and have been collecting things for years myself, but I know I spent more than I dare add up when preparing for this coming school year (and there's still
another week before I start lol I'm sure I'll buy more) but I was given no budget at all at this point. I also have to agree with the poster above who mentioned the overinflated prices in the teacher catalogs, I had them sent to my home myself to browse through and had to laugh when my parents found a cute colored cart with 10 drawers for me at Costco for $20. Later that same day, my
classroom direct catalog came in the mail with that exact same looking cart on the back cover for like $60. Outrageous. Its as if, if I even had a budget, I would hate to waste the $ in the teacher catalogs when I can find things so much cheaper by going to Costco, Walmart and the dollar store! Those three stores, along with staples, furnished everything in my room and I know the same merchandise would have cost a LOT more if I had ordered it all from catalogs.
