a teacher's life
By kay

Clip to ScrapBook
Wow! I am so glad to see that I am not the only obsessed teacher out there. My husband, who works in the "corporate"world just shakes his head every morning during coffee at 5:00 am because I have a "list" on the left side
of the table while I am trying to have "sharing" time with him before he goes to work.

We both have been married before and we are older. During the first year we were together, he just couldn't believe HOW much time teachers put into school during the summer. He now has a greater respect for us that work for "public payroll". He used to tease me about having 3 months off "doing

nothing".....he knows better now! Maybe our taxpayers and politicians should be married to a school teacher! I think all of us that are "obesessed" are the majority and society does count on us to be that way. Would IBM employees even consider buying furniture, office supplies or professional journals out of their own pocket?

I love to be a teacher and I am not trying to complain. Like you all said above, it is in our 'blood' somehow.
