word wall
By tjo

Clip to ScrapBook
Last year I had some kiddo's in my Sped. Ed. room that did not know the basic sight words. I made a word wall and we reviewed them a few times a week. I left the words uncovered on the wall. My thought is they still had to sound out the word, eliminate words that could look the same, and by a process of elimation they had to find their spelling word. Some made 100's (but not always) and others had difficulties. I also had the students to make a game of saying a word to a friend and the friend had to find the word and spell it. DO WHAT YOU THINK WILL BENEFIT YOUR STUDENTS THE MOST and make it a learning experience for both you and your students.
