lost recess
By mlk

Clip to ScrapBook
In our school, recess time is also a break for the teacher, an opportunity to plan & prep their room, go to the bathroom or just chill out for awhile (some days you just need to chill). Therefore, ususally all students go out for recess, however, those who have misbehaved have been given "wall time"; they have to stand by the wall out on the playground for their designated time. When the children are escorted to the playground, the playground supervisor is told who's "on the wall" & for how long. Of course, sometimes teachers will keep children in the room with them if they were planning on taking that time for deskwork themselves.
