Mrs.P's homework
By pcm

Clip to ScrapBook
Where do you get the story for reading homework? I would like to incorporate this into my assignments. (We don't use basals). I am trying to limit photocopying weekly work so now I have a spelling workbook and they have a page every night Mon-Thurs. They have a reading chart to fill in that totals 1 hour of reading weekly. Math occasionally. Some years I had overachieving parents who wanted all kinds of challenge work for kids. I'm not doing this any more. I am really not too invested in homework. I give a small amount and expect it done well. I hear too many stories about parents who get home late and are stressed by feeling they have to spend too much time dealing with homework. Its just not that big a deal to me. Mainly its to develop responsibility!
