e-mailing principals

I just tried this a few days ago and immediately had a telephone interview. This was the first bite I had gotten all summer, after submitting applications and hand-delivering resumes and cover letters. At this time of year I think it is appropriate - if principals have openings they are anxious to fill them. Good luck!
