Hi,
I would suggest that you sub. I student taught at a school, and then I subbed in different grade levels at that school and other schools in that district. They needed a long term sub at the last minute to cover for
a teacher who went on unexpected medical leave. They called me because they knew me and thought I would do a good job. During that time a teaching position opened for the following school year. I applied and was offered an interview. I was offered the interview because they knew me and had seen me teach. While subbing I invited the principal in to observe me teaching. Now I will be starting
my first job there in a couple weeks. So I would suggest subbing, meeting the prinicpals, and letting them know that I'm interested in any teaching positions. They tend to hire people that they are familiar with and who will do a good job.
Good luck!
