genre poster
By DmcD

Clip to ScrapBook
Great idea Jen! I think this would enhance curiousity in your library. I will be doing the following this year... Having a poster split into genre columns where kids can write the name of the book on a post-it and then
sign and post it. It's simple and (I'm hoping!) will get some kids to read books just because so-and-so suggests it. Also, I will being doing "book sells" by talking about books that I recommend and reading a small portion/summarizing a catchy part. Soon kids will do them too. There will be an easy book review page that I will make available to kids that read books and want to advertise
them. They can fill these out, fold them, and simply stick it in the book on the shelf. This acts as a "flag" to other students that tells them they may want to read this book!
