morning message ideas
By JB

Clip to ScrapBook
You can purchase books at a teacher store that cover the idea extensively. It should be done preferably on large easel paper so the kids can all see it and have access to reading it again later(save them) or even the overhead
if needed. It can be for interactive writing with the kids helping to construct the written message or shared reading each day to kind of set the tone for the day.It can be read together with specific phonics or grammar goals emphasized for that day. It is not meant for them to copy.
I have also seen it used as a Language Calendar, which I tried last year and liked. Each day you
could re-write the big message on 8 1/2 x 11 in paper and post it on a bulletin board like a claendar...adding each day to make most of the month. The kids can re-read it whenever they want.
ex:
Today is Monday. We will go to gym. It is Sam's birthday.
Hope this helps! Have fun with it!
