First Grade is Fun! By Vickie

I agree with Rachel's helpful hints. Especially the MODELING aspect. You need to show them how to do every little thing--like where to write their name, how big to make it, etc. TALK THEM THROUGH IT--encourage their prior knowledge.
I like to start with, "I know you learned SO MUCH in Kindergarten last year, but be sure to watch and follow me!"
