    One thing I've done for 5 years and has saved my life involves a standing basket. It is on wheels and there are 4 "baskets" stacked vertically. On the top basket, I typed up a label "To Be Returned". This holds all of the paperwork that the paper passers pass back to sts. at the end of the day. The next basket is labeled "Completed Work" and is where sts. turn in finished work. The next basket is "Homework", and the last is "Notes From Home" where any correspondence/field trip notes/report cards, etc. get returned. This is a quick, no-hassle way to keep the paperwork off of my desk! Good luck!
