Clip to ScrapBook
I add a penny a day to our coin can. Everyday we take the coins out and count them together. When we get 5 pennies we exchange for a nickel, a nickel and 5 pennies becomes 2 nickels and then a dime is put in, etc. Later in the year when we've reached 100 cents, we get to put the dollar in (which is also 100 day). I also have cutout hands put up. Each day we color a fingernail and count. When a whole hand is complete, we count it by fives. I'll also ask calendar questions each day, ie. What day will it be one week from today? How many weeks in a month? What day of the week will Halloween land on?
Hope these ideas help!
