Okay... let me see what I can do. All cps schools are not like this.. a lot are but not all. That is terrible that your school is being so neglectful to you. When they hired you they should have given you a letter stating
that they are hiring you and you then would need to take it to the board. Then at the board you sign all the paperwork and do all the busy work. If you haven't done that you need to and need to go to your school and confirm all of this for it you don't it could be a very messy first month of the school year. Can you give me an idea of where your school is located. You don't have

to give me a name but just an idea. That may help a lot.
As for your room... I would go in around the 30th and ask to see your room... They cut the prep time this year from 3 days to 2 days. It is not enough time for even prepared teachers. Try to think of this this way, it is only one year. If you end up not liking it you can go elsewhere. If you don't like it don't get assigned... I can explain later.
