Clip to ScrapBook
I do the same as E. I always give 2 choices. Most have2 choices. "You can do this now or you can do this during recess." AT first neither may work, but be consistent. It can be very frustrating if you let the behavior
get to you. The child will see his/her friends playing and he/she will want to also. I always try to remember, it is not the childs fault, it is the disorder. When good choices are made I really tried to reward them. Another thing I did was make a behavior chart, broke up the day and if he acheived the certain goals(did homework, complete classwork, conformed to rules, ) each got a
star. for a certain amount of stars, predetermined, he got a reward. Then those stars turned into smiley faces. SMiley faces were for big rewards such as field trips, lunch bunch, assemblies, etc. Hope this helps.
