Reading Wands
By Elaine AZ

Clip to ScrapBook
It's fun and easy to make reading wands to go along with what you're studying, or whatever interests you and your students. The most recent one I made was a bumblebee wand. I just found some clip art from the Internet and
printed it on my computer. I covered the bumblebee with clear packing tape to protect it, and then taped it onto a chopstick. I also have one with a star on top with sparkly streamers hanging from it. Again, most of these are clip art that I just printed on my computer. I have apple wands, color wands (crayon shapes), farm animals and pets, seasonal wands (pumpkins, turkeys, etc.),
Presidents and other famous people, flowers, bugs, teddy bears, hearts, and many more. We also use special reading glasses, like different shapes of kids' sunglasses (stars, hearts, dinosaur, etc.). Have fun reading!!
