Popcorn
By Melissa

Clip to ScrapBook
I tried something a little different with my class a couple of years ago and it worked quite well. Instead of using marbles, I used kernels of unpopped popcorn. I would measure a scoop into the container for each "reward", and once the container was full, we would have a popcorn party. I tried it whole class and I also tried it by groups. Even when we tried it by groups, the whole class still got popcorn, regardless of who filled their container first, but the "winning team" had the pride associated with winning the party for the rest of the class. I used microwave popcorn and just re-used the kernels each time.
