dont smile tooo much

I think it is not the best idea to smile until your cheeks hurt at the beginning of the year. The children do need to you know love them and care about them but they also need to know you mean business at the beginning. If you try to be too nice at first then try to enforce the rules later they will not take you seriously no matter how young they are or how hard you try. The children need to understand the structure of the room and the importance of the rules in making the classroom work as a community.
