You can spend some time reviewing what they learned last year. Here's an activity you could do.

1. Have students work indvidually or with a partner.

2. Give each student (or pair) a sheet of paper and a pencil. (Unless
they have pencils at the hotel?)

3. On the left side of the paper, have them write the alphabet going down.

4. For each letter have them write one (or more) things that they talked about last year that begin with that letter. For some letters they might not be able to think of things, so they may leave letters if needed.

5. Go over what students wrote for each letter. If students

give a book title for a letter, ask them some questions on it such as who the main character was, what the setting was, to summarize it, etc. If say something that has to do with math (i.e. for "M" they say multiplication, quiz them on a few facts to see if they remember.)
