Sharks

We have this same issue with students who go to band/orchestra. The other kids are in a group called "Sharks", our school mascot. We rotate these kids among the 6th grade teachers. During my rotations I plan on doing an art unit, a music/pop culture unit, and then possibly do a yearbook committee in which "Sharks" will be responsible for the yearbook, graphic design, etc.I try to think of things that are enriching since that's what the kids who are going to band/orchestra are going. It gives the kids that stay with me meaningful activities that they find really fun. Krista
