unfinished work

Clip to ScrapBook
I sometimes will pick up the pile of handed in work just before recess, computer, or gym, and I read the names. Those children get to line up as I call their names, and those who didn't hand in/complete the assignment usually get hustling to get it done. When using a checklist, don't wait til the work is corrected - use the list just to record whose work is handed in. Or, you can assign your children "magic numbers" to record beside their name; in my class that number is alphabetical by first name. Using that number anyone can quickly put the sheets in order and see whose is missing in a few moments. I do this for homefolders, agendas and math tests as well.
