I decorate my door with a welcome back theme for the first few week of school . The second week I have a laminated 12X18 piece of cardstock that says "Did you know..." I tape a picture or some kind of trivia on top of the cardstock on Monday morning that will gives them a clue about what were learning about that week.

For example: Next week I will hang up a picture from the newspaper or some kind of trivia either to do with Athens or the Olympics.
My third graders love learning the trivia and guessing what we will be studying.
