don't get TOO personal By T

My only tip is to only tell what you don't mind having everyone in the world to know. For instance, if you have children of your own, you will mostly likely talk about them a lot and may want to mention them in your letter.| If you have a "significant other" but are unmarried, I personally don't mention that, and anytime I tell a story (for purposes of practicing sequencing, etc), if it's about going somewhere with my boyfriend, I just change it to "my friend". What I tend to include (I'm a 2nd year teacher, for the record) is where I went to school, any prior experience with the grade, being excited |
| for the year to start, and mention any projects that I definitely plan to do. If you're not sure you'll do it, don't mention it though; it's easier that way so you don't have to explain later why you opted NOT to do it. Oh, and last year I included my home phone number, but I don't recommend doing that. All you need after a long day is for an irate parent to call and chew you out for something to never do that again.
