another silver lining
By protecting my privacy

Clip to ScrapBook
I too wanted a position in my area and I got it. It was not the ideal situation I thought it would be. The kids all called me my first name even though I kept telling them at school I was Mrs. Privacy and many kids showed
up at my door for help or just to visit because everyone knew where I lived. Many of the parents were friends of mine and didn't think twice about calling my house or during a gathering having an impromptu parent teacher conference. I was caught buying beer more than once and there wasn't a day that I didn't see one of the kids from my school in the grocery store. My entire life was
open to them and I had no privacy. This is a small town and there was no way to say leave me alone. I now work about 15 minutes away in the next town and I love it! Getting the job further away could be a blessing in disguise. Good luck.
