Clip to ScrapBook
I also know a teacher who had her first baby during her first year teaching, at the beginning of the year!! Luckily, her husband, also newly graduated, subbed for her and they worked it out together. It can be done if you
have the right support, and the desire. I personally loved staying home with my first born, but had been teaching awhile first. I don't think I could have done it my first year teaching, but that's me. I don't know how tough it is where you live to get a job, that would make a difference if you really want to teach. But jobs come and go, and this baby is special. What does your gut
tell you? I don't think you should feel foolish about not working if that's what you want to do. You'll make the right decision when the time comes. Congrats!!
