Clip to ScrapBook
I worked with a teacher a few years ago who was pregnant when she was hired. She finished the first semester, then went out on leave for six weeks. She came back to school sometime in February or March. It was like she
never skipped a beat during her absence. She came back and just picked up as if she had never left. The added bonus was that her third grade students were absolutely ecstatic that she returned! They were extra nice and helpful. She was also, by the way, a first-year teacher.

I think you can do it as long as you have some daycare arrangements worked out. You will need to organize

everything carefully before you leave, and you will be able to make a smooth transition when you return. The pregnant teacher I worked with managed to have both baby and career.

Good luck!
