blabbermouths
By Allie

Clip to ScrapBook
I agree about the blabbermouths at meetings. I have to run a few faculty business meetings every year and I hate it when people talk. It makes it hard to hear comments, suggestions, motions, etc., throughout the meeting. Personally, I think it's alright if someone does a quiet handcraft like those suggested (needlepoint, cross-stitch). I know a lot of people that can do things like that and still listen; but when it comes to talking, I do get aggravated.

My school district usually has an hour-long meet-n-greet before the formal meeting takes place. That way we can get our visiting out of the way and be more ready to listen to the speakers (or at least pretend to listen). That seems to work out well.
