Yes..Touch Math

I agree...Touch Math is a great way to approach this. I use this with my students and it can be very concrete and visual...but as they learn the system, can fade the obvious use and mechanics and "internalize" the process. It can be used for addition, subtraction and multiplication. It may even be used for division, but I've never looked into that as my students are too young and not quite that high functioning.
