Can you teach this class like a multi-age classroom and blend the two curr.? I can't believe (or maybe I can) that they would expect you to teach two diff. curr. I have taught k/1 multi-age before and I blended the two curr.
At times I did teach two separate lessons on certain skills. Some of your students may be more similar than you think. Guided Reading shouldn't be that much different. Can you swop kids with any other teachers for reading and math? For Guided Reading, we exchange kids which makes a huge difference. We are thinking about doing Guided Math!! Good Luck!
