The use of Very good, Good, Ok, Concern or something to that extent pretty much alleviates that I have found. I don't have to say your child has a 97% right now or a 65% last week. It just gives a general overall indication where their child is. It is also a timesaver for the teacher b/c you know where each child is without having to check your grade book before marking each one. It's a quick, simple, yet informative way for parents to know what is going on. The parents really do appreciate it, too. Though there were some who consistently seemed "lose" their child's progress report, or forget to return it signed. There are always going to be a few I guess.

:o)
