5 fingers
By Jen/5

Clip to ScrapBook
I teach my kids the 5 finger rule. I have them open their book to an average page and read it. As they are reading, they put a finger up for every word they don't know or understand.
At the end of the page, if all 5 fingers are up the book is too hard. If 4 fingers up the book is challenging. If 2 or 3 fingers are up, the book is just right. If 0 - 1 finger is up, the book is too easy.
